The Members of our Jury: Gavin Wall, FAO

May 24, 2013

Serving in a variety of countries and in different roles within FAO and previously as Head of the Institute of Technology and Engineering at Massey University in New Zealand has given Gavin Wall an excellent background in the role of agribusiness and agro-industries in creating wealth. He argues that technical solutions can be central to a business succeeding in any environment; however, he also recognises the challenges of achieving economic growth that includes all citizens of a country.

Commenting on the competition, Gavin stated: “As a member of the jury, I look forward to learning of the innovative ideas that form the basis of the many submissions. I always enjoy seeing how creative people are and I look forward to seeing how the ideas can transform businesses and simultaneously produce wider benefits. I am sure that my passion for inclusive and efficient food chains will be further stimulated by the entries.”
