From June 30 to July 2, the “empowering people. Network” participated in the Deutsche Welle Global Media Forum held in Bonn. The international conference convened around 2,300 journalists and representatives of development organizations from 120 countries. As a key topic, the approximately 40 panels and workshops emphasized the strong relationship between communications technologies, the internet and development.

The Forum presented a unique opportunity to pursue our objective to make the outstanding solutions in the Solutions Database well known to journalists and important actors within development cooperation. The dependency between simple technology and developmental perspectives were illustrated by the production of the OneDollarGlasses and many more prominent Network members present at the Siemens Stiftung booth.

Several new international ambassadors have joined the “empowering people. Network” - making the Forum a great success! Thank you to you all!
