Solar Scheffler Reflectors help users produce energy without needing to generate it thermally.

Key Features

Where the sun shines, we enable people to use Solar Scheffler Reflectors directly without needing to generate thermal energy. Enterprises use our version of Scheffler Reflectors to get away from using costly fossil energy and, instead, using solar energy with the same production without CO2 emissions. Trinysol manufactures and installs Scheffler Reflectors made out of steel and highly reflective aluminum. These devices are powered by a sensor-controlled motor that enables them to automatically turn toward the sun, focusing their light on one specific point that reaches temperatures of around 1,000 degrees Celsius. This concentrated energy can, afterwards, be used either directly in a kitchen, oven or boiler. It can also be stored in the form of steam in an absorber that is connected to a pressure tank.

Social Impact

The sun shines in Mexico and people can’t use it. Especially in rural Mexico there is a lot of sun but people can’t use it because there is no technology or devices to capture its rays on the Mexican market. So, people with small businesses get their energy by burning high cost fossil fuels, negatively affecting the climate. Currently, most food is processed in Mexico using fossil fuels. Trinysol shows that food in rural areas can be produced with energy generated with Solar Scheffler Reflectors.

Trinysol was founded with the purpose to enable people to use solar concentrated energy as the best option to generate their own process energy for their enterprises.
It’s the best option to be prepared for the future – with its low cost, zero emissions and ability to generate a lot of energy onsite – right where you need it.

Since 2006, Trinysol has implemented different prototype projects in Mexico at different scales. Single Scheffler Reflector installations have been made in households and multiple Scheffler Reflector installations for small and medium enterprises, like tortilla bakeries generating solar steam to cook from 400-1,000kg of corn (nixtamal)/day. Trinysol initiated prototype projects to generate process energy with the direct use of the concentrated sun and projects to use the generated solar steam for food processing. In 2021, Trinysol is finishing the second stage of its own productive pilot project “Finca Castel de Oro”, installing 12 new Scheffler Reflector units. With 20 Scheffler Reflectors, it’s the first and biggest solar steam generating plant in the Americas with this technology.

In 2016, Trinysol moved its production to a 3,000sqm workshop where its small team can use old and modern metal machines to produce the Scheffler Reflectors. After modernization of this workshop was completed, Trinysol started production of its Scheffler Reflectors there in 2021.

Future Plans

Enterprises will be able to use Scheffler Reflectors to generate their own process energy. We are starting mass production of Solar Scheffler Reflectors in our new production site. During the COVID-19 lockdown in 2020/2021, we are designing and building more powerful Scheffler Reflectors and testing them in our prototype project “Finca Castel de Oro”, generating solar power for a lot of applications needed in villages and enterprises.
